Ann De Jaeger states that inclusive leadership is not a question of being nice to women, it’s a question of notching up better business results. Put differently; women in business is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue.
Ann De Jaeger is partner at ELP where she runs the Inclusive Leadership Practice. Over the last 7 years Ann has done intensive research on female leadership, especially into what it is that women need to know and master in order to be successful in senior roles in mainly “male” dominated cultures. One of her findings is that a majority of women assimilate a little too quickly to a male-oriented culture and environment and find it hard to stay true to themselves and their differentiating female qualities. As such they become barriers for true inclusiveness rather than ambassadors. Ann converted her research into a unique leadership program that helps truly motivated and talented women succeed at the top of organizations: “Brand Me: A Journey Through Choices for Talented Women” (www.brandme.org).
