News: ELP presentation in Flemish Government event a success
On Tuesday, May 17, 2011 the annual colloquium MOVI took place. MOVI is a management network organization of the Flemish Government. This year’s event was aimed to share concrete examples of culture change.
As indicated on MOVI’s website, our partner Ann de Jaeger treated the audience to a fascinating presentation on the subject. In her presentation Ann de Jaeger touched on contextual leadership and the differences between management and leadership approaches. She connected all of this to a changing landscape in which “digital natives” soon become the biggest cohort of current the workforce. Not only did participants find out how one YouTube song has caused United Airlines more headache than any amount of customer complaints before. They also learned what a transformation to new leadership styles and values means for organizations.
Ann was followed by Frank Massenhove, Jeroen Nachtergaele and Jurgen Spanhove (among others), who shared experiences and reflections from their own entities at the Flemish Government. Armand Schreurs made sure in a very funny way that all participants left with a delighting summary of the day in mind.
