Executive Learning Partnership

Bart Gijsbertsen

Project Manager

Bart joined ELP as a Project Manager in 2011. Bart has a wide-ranging background in Natural Resources Management, education, social work, and organisational learning, which he brings together in a unique and co-creative approach to learning and sustainability issues, that he coined ‘Forgotten Resources Management’.

In 2008 Bart co-founded LEF, or ‘Life & Finance’, and led the development and implementation of its innovative programme for financial education, which is now taken into classrooms around the country by a growing number of financial experts, on a voluntary basis. Besides having been nominated for a CSR award two years in a row, LEF has become a much valued experience for all participants, and has generated wide support within the financial services industry.

Shortly after concluding his forestry studies in 2000, Bart emigrated to Sweden where he soon joined the board of the Society for Organizational Learning in Stockholm. Around this time, he also worked closely together with Jan Willem Kirpestein in the organisation and reporting of the Encounter of Worldview’s first international conference on dialogue.

Until his return to the Netherlands in 2006, Bart successfully held various (special) teaching and mentoring positions in some of Sweden’s most segregated areas, and studied at Malmö University. Between 2006 and 2008 he held a teaching and mentoring position at Talentstad in Zwolle, and started his own facilitation company, facilitating learning journeys to sustainably improve personal or business leadership, and performance.
