Patty van der Vliet
Patty van der Vliet studied English and had various positions in the service industry before she joined the Randstad Group. After several positions within Randstad, in 1994 she made the move to the Vroedt & Thierry, a boutique executive search firm, of which she was partner and co-owner until mid 2010.
Meanwhile, she has started her own practice and is involved in detecting talent at executive and board level, as for Supervisory Boards positions, in various sectors. She is a member of the Advisory Board of Amsterdam Partners and publishes regularly (www.pluspost.nl).
From her practice as a headhunter, she acknowledges that the call for diversity is growing more serious and sees what diversity can bring to organizations. The attention on this issue has – even despite the crisis – not stopped: on the contrary! The realization that diversity can bring an acceleration in innovation to supervision and management really starts to penetrate at the highest levels in organizations.
